ArtLook Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what ArtLook processes when you use our AI photo editing app, website, templates, subscriptions, and support channels, and what choices you have.
Last updated: September 17, 2026
1. Who We Are
ArtLook is operated by Mars. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the operator of ArtLook. You can reach us at support@591master.com.
2. Information We Process
- Photos you choose to upload, together with the prompts, template selections, and generation settings you submit. If a photo contains a face, the facial features in that image are processed only as part of the photo you submitted, as described in section 6.
- Generated results, and the task records that go with them, such as task status, timestamps, and failure reasons.
- A guest account identifier and its session credentials. ArtLook has no sign-in screen: when you first open the app we create a guest account for that installation and store its credentials in the iOS Keychain on your device. The identifier keeps your credits, generations, and subscription entitlement together. It is not linked to your name, email address, or phone number.
- Your credit balance and credit ledger, your subscription entitlement, and the App Store transaction identifiers we need to verify a purchase, restore it, and avoid granting the same purchase twice.
- Support communications: if you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message, including anything you attach to it.
- Ordinary service data needed to run ArtLook, such as request records on our servers and the app and iOS version reported by the app.
3. What We Do Not Collect
- ArtLook shows no ads, includes no ad or measurement SDK, and does not build a profile of you across other apps or websites.
- We do not collect device identifiers used to target ads, and we do not ask for permission to follow your activity outside ArtLook.
- The current release does not send app usage or diagnostic events to us, and it includes no third-party measurement or crash-logging SDK.
- We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number as account information, because there is no account sign-up, and we do not collect location, contacts, health, or financial information.
- We do not use Face ID, TrueDepth, or other facial-recognition technology to identify you, verify your identity, or build a biometric profile.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to run AI image editing and generation tasks, to keep your credits and subscription entitlement correct, to verify and restore App Store purchases, to answer support requests, to keep the service secure and prevent abuse, and to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. We do not sell your personal information and we do not train AI models on your content.
5. AI Processing and Third-Party Image APIs
ArtLook runs your creation request on our servers. To generate or edit an image, we send the data needed for that task—typically the photo you uploaded, your prompt, template selection, and generation settings—from our backend to one or more third-party AI image generation services. We choose the service for each task based on the model, template, or feature you use.
The third-party services we use or may use for image generation and editing include:
- Google — Gemini image models.
- OpenAI — GPT Image and compatible image generation or editing APIs.
- Other commercial image APIs — additional providers we integrate from time to time when needed to complete a request.
These providers receive your content only to perform the specific generation or edit you requested. We do not authorize them to use your photos or prompts for advertising, and we do not sell your content to them. We do not use your content to train ArtLook's own models. Each provider also processes data under its own terms and privacy policy, in addition to the restrictions described in this policy.
Please only upload photos and prompts that you have the rights and permissions to use.
6. Facial Data in Photos
This section explains how ArtLook handles facial data that may appear in photos you choose to upload. It applies when you use portrait templates, multi-person edits, AI Photoshoot, or any other feature that processes a photo containing a face.
What we collect. ArtLook does not scan your device for faces or collect face data outside photos you actively choose to upload or capture for a generation. When an uploaded photo contains a face, we process the facial features in that image only as part of the photo file you submitted. We do not extract a separate biometric template, faceprint, or identity record from your face.
How we use it. We use facial data in a photo solely to perform the AI edit or generation you requested, such as applying a portrait style, restoring detail, changing the background, or creating a styled photoshoot result. We do not use facial data for advertising, cross-app profiling, identity verification, or training our own or third-party AI models.
Sharing. For each generation task, the uploaded photo (including any facial features in it) and the related prompt are transmitted from our backend to the third-party AI image service used for that task (such as Google, OpenAI, or another integrated provider) so the requested output can be produced. We do not sell facial data and we do not share it with ad, measurement, or data-broker services.
Storage and retention. Uploaded photos and generated results that contain faces are stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States, under our control, for the retention periods in section 8: source photos for a submitted task are kept for 7 days; generated results are kept for 30 days; uploads that are never submitted are kept for 24 hours. After the applicable period, our retention worker deletes the stored file and its associated record.
Deletion. You can delete your account data from the app (Settings → Privacy & data → Manage My Data → Delete Account), which removes your uploads, results, and task history from our servers. You can also email support@591master.com to request deletion or ask a privacy question. Deleting data does not cancel a subscription.
7. Service Providers
We share limited information with the service providers that make ArtLook work. They process it on our instructions for the purposes below.
- Apple — App Store purchase processing, subscription billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds, and verification of signed App Store transactions through the App Store Server API. We verify a purchase with Apple when the app can supply transaction evidence; if Apple's verification cannot return a result, the purchase may instead be recorded from the app's purchase confirmation.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase state for the app.
- Amazon Web Services — object storage (Amazon S3) for uploaded photos and generated results, and content delivery (Amazon CloudFront) for the short-lived signed media links the app uses to display them.
- Google — Gemini image models that receive the photo, prompt, and generation settings for a task and return the generated or edited image.
- OpenAI — GPT Image and compatible image generation or editing APIs that receive the photo, prompt, and generation settings for a task and return the generated or edited image.
- Other image generation APIs — additional commercial providers we integrate from time to time that receive task data and return the generated or edited image when needed to complete your request.
We select the provider for each task. Providers act as service providers processing data on our instructions to deliver the feature you requested, not as independent controllers of your account. We do not share information with ad, measurement, or crash-logging providers, and we do not sell it. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
8. Availability and Retention
Content stays available in ArtLook for the following periods, after which the app no longer serves it:
- Uploads that are never submitted for a generation: 24 hours.
- Source photos for a task you submit: 7 days.
- Generated results: 30 days.
- A generation price quote: 5 minutes.
Prompt text, task records, credit entries, and subscription records form part of your account history and are kept while the account exists. Our servers also keep operational request logs, which we use to run and protect the service.
After each period ends, a scheduled cleanup job deletes the expired record and the
stored file it points to. The job runs as the
artlook-retention-worker process: continuously while expired data remains,
and otherwise once per hour. Task records, credit entries, and subscription records are
not removed by that job. When you delete all data, we delete your account's uploads,
results, task records, private credit entries, account history and account identity,
unlink your subscription, and keep the Apple purchase-transaction record so that Restore
Purchases continues to work.
We keep what we still need for security, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance, and we remove content when you ask us to, as described in section 9, or when we no longer need it.
9. Your Choices and Requests
You can control camera and photo access in iOS Settings. You can manage or cancel an ArtLook subscription, and turn renewal off, in your Apple ID subscription settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
You can write to support@591master.com to ask for a copy of the data linked to your guest account, to ask us to correct or delete it, or to ask a privacy question. Because there is no sign-in, your data is linked to the guest account on your device, and we may not be able to match a request to your data if you have reinstalled the app or moved to another device; if that happens we will tell you what we can and cannot do. Deleting data does not cancel a subscription and does not give you a new welcome credit balance.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
ArtLook is not directed to children. It is not intended for use by children under 13, or under the minimum age at which a person can consent to digital services in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review it and take appropriate action.
12. International Users
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. Image generation providers such as Google, OpenAI, and other integrated APIs may also process task data in countries where they operate. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
